2009-2010 JOHN CHAMBERS, PRESIDENT

SUSSEX COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®, located at 115 Demarest Road, Suite 4, Sparta, New Jersey represents five hundred twenty (520) of the more than one million members of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR) and is also a member of the NEW JERSEY ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®.  The association’s mission is to enhance the professionalism of its members through the enforcement of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, provide members with resources and services and promote the preservation of the right to own, transfer and use real property.

The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® is America’s largest professional trade association involved in all aspects of residential and commercial real estate.  NAR in Washington, DC and state associations throughout the country field a team of professional legislative advocates who consistently monitor and progressively work on public policy to promote and protect property rights.  Because of these efforts, REALTORS® have access to the most up-to-date political information and have an effective avenue to seek solutions to public policy problems.

2009 REALTOR OF THE YEAR, ANNE FITZGERALD

Our REALTOR® of the year’s insights, keen business skills and ethical practices have served her clients and the REALTOR® association well.  She has served on numerous committees and is currently chairperson of the Professional Standards Committee.  Furthering her real estate education is important to Anne.  A recipient of the NJAR Circle of Excellence Award in 2002 thru 2007 and in 2009 she was also recognized by Century 21 Gross & Jansen, REALTORS® as agent of the year several times and received the Century 21 International Centurion Award two years.

Girl Scouts of America leader, volunteer in 4H Club for Environmental Science, soccer and basketball coach, member of Sandyston Walpack PTO and volunteering at the New Jersey Fair Branchville Rotary Roast Beef Dinner to raise scholarship funds are examples of her service and involvement in the community.

REALTORS® have a longstanding tradition of community involvement, making a difference in the neighborhoods where they serve.

2009 NEW JERSEY ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® CIRCLE OF EXCELLENCE AWARD

Congratulations to the following members of our association who achieved the 2009 NJAR Circle of Excellence Sales Award.  Recipients of the Silver Award, which represents an achievement of $7.5 million in sales, are Julia D. Killen, Kelly A. Mitchell and Glenn R. Schechter.  The Bronze award, which represents  $3 million in sales was awarded to Nancy Battifarano, Alison Callow, Nigel Cunniffe, Theresa “Teri” DeGroat, Ellen Edwards, Charlene Fiorita, Anne Fitzgerald, Chris Giugliano, Karen Glowacki, Denise Hart, Noreen Hohne, Karen A. Howarth, Daniel Jennings, Ruth Linn, Kathryn Kim Loizzi, Lisa Moffatt, Marianne Mooney, Pamela Willard, Denise Young and Brenda Lee Zabriskie.  Sales amounts reflect the value of properties sold.
