Ogdensburg and zinc mines will be forever connected in the minds of longtime county residents.  More than a century ago the borough was developed as a company town for miners.  The 2 square mile town is located in the eastern portion of the county.  There is easy access to bothe routes 15 and 23 from state route 517 which runs through the center of the borough and serves as Main Street.

The Sterling Hill Mining Co. offers tours through the old zinc mine shafts.  This historic attraction on Passaic street also has a mining museum.  

This town offers its residents swimming at Heater's Pond and a park in the center of town with ballfields, a playground and tennis courts.
