As a member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®, America’s largest professional association, you’ve gained the right to call yourself a REALTOR®. Only members are REALTORS®.

Membership in the local association gives you membership in the national and state associations.

Affiliate Institutes, Societies and Councils

Government Affairs

At the National and State levels the association works to develop, advance and implement its legislative and regulatory objectives with the government and its agencies. Lobbyists have extensive contact with members of Congress and state legislature. NAR is the largest contributor of direct contributions to federal candidates through the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC).

Garden State Multiple Listing Service

No additional subscriber’s fees required from REALTOR® members SUSSEX COUNTY ASSOCIATION has representation on the GSMLS Multiple Listing Committee and the Advisory Board. The key system is managed at the local board office for its members.

Sussex County Education

Quarterly New Member Orientation Nationally featured speakers Programs and events organized by the Education Committee derived from membership input.

Programs and projects planned by the board to benefit local organizations.

Professional Standards

A vehicle to economically expedite ethics complaints and/or arbitration requests without going to court. If a monetary dispute arises from a real estate transaction or if you believe a REALTOR® may have acted in an unethical manner, you can seek a resolution through the local association.

REALTOR® of the Year

A REALTOR® is selected each year by the local board who has contributed to the advancement of his or her community, the cause of REALTORS® and is involved in humanitarian services.

NJAR Circle of Excellence

Award The awards are divided into four categories; Platinum awarded to those with $25 million or more in sales; Gold to those with $15 million or more in sales, Silver with at least $7.5 million in sales, and Bronze with $3 million in sales. The sales amounts reflect the value of the properties sold.
