Established in 1904, Andover Borough has become a mecca for antique shoppers and those looking for a quaint, small-town atmosphere. The borough was originally part of Andover Township, which surrounds the 1.8 square mile town of Victorian houses and “Main Street” shops on three sides.

Located in the southeastern part of the county, the borough is one of the smallest municipalities in land area and, with only 800 residents, in population as well. The borough is located at the intersection of routes 206, 517 and 613 and is the location of two abandoned railroad beds which have been marked for reactivation. It is also located 10 minutes south of Route 80.

Historically, Andover Borough was known for its iron forge and railroad. A former gristmill that once served as a summer theatre, is now home to a new coffee house, The Grist Mill Café and the local post office.
